Penny sleeves are the basic layer underneath everything else. Thin, clear polypropylene that keeps dust, oils, and minor scuffs off a card during sorting, storage, or a toploader. They're not built for shuffling during play (they're too thin and slippery for that), but they're the standard first layer for anything going into a binder, box, or graded card holder.
