Beyond the Brave is the newest Core Booster for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game, following Chaos Origins. It puts Joey Wheeler front and center: the set is built around his bold, high-risk plays, and it is the first Core Booster to feature an anime character other than Yami Yugi as its cover character. The cover card is Red-Eyes Black Dragon Exceed.
For Joey fans, the headline is the new Dark Time Wizard cards, a Quick-Play Spell that gives you a choice between a safe effect and a risky one when you activate it. The set also introduces the Ars Magna and Ashtra archetypes and brings the first support for Daedalus, Diactorus, Masquerade, and Medius.
Existing decks get new tools too. Beyond the Brave adds cards for Destiny HERO, Red-Eyes, Toon, Adamancipator, Umbral Horror, Clown Crew, Predaplant, Witchcrafter, and Angelechy, so there is something here whether you play a competitive deck or a casual favorite.
What's in the box:
- 24 booster packs
- 9 cards per pack
- A 100-card main set with Commons, Super Rares, Ultra Rares, and Secret Rares
- Starlight Rare versions of selected cards as an extra chase
Protect your new pulls with a set of Japanese-size sleeves, since Yu-Gi-Oh! cards are smaller than standard TCG cards. Want something limited to chase as well? See the Limited Pack World Championship 2026 Booster Box.
