Riftbound Radiance: Everything You Need to Know

Riftbound's fifth set takes the stage on October 23, 2026. Radiance follows Origins, Spiritforged, Unleashed, and Vendetta, and it brings a new group of League of Legends champions into the game, a new top rarity, and a Showdown Deck that pits two of Runeterra's best-known performers against each other.

The set at a glance

  • Release date: October 23, 2026 (set code RAD)
  • Size: 180 cards, including 66 Showcase cards
  • New Legends: nine in total, with Seraphine, Evelynn, Ekko, Ziggs, and Jarvan IV confirmed so far
  • New rarity: the Ultimate Rare, a collector tier above Overnumbered
  • Booster packs: 14 cards each, with at least two foil rares or better and one foil of any rarity in every pack

The Legends

Radiance has nine new Legends, and previews are still rolling in. Seraphine and Ekko are the poster champions of the set, and Evelynn is the other half of the Showdown Deck. Ziggs and Jarvan IV round out the confirmed names so far, and the remaining Legends are being revealed during the official preview season, which runs until October 9.

Seraphine also introduces the Recruit keyword. Her card creates a 1 Might Recruit unit token in your base, and she grows stronger the more of your other units are exhausted. It is a good sign that Radiance rewards wide boards and committing units to the table.

New mechanics previewed so far

Along with Recruit, the previews have shown Deploy (gear that can only be played to a battlefield and is destroyed if an opponent takes control of it), Showoff (reveal a card to change what an effect does), and Disarm (an attacker lowers an enemy unit's Might). Exact rules text can still change between preview and release, so check the final card text once the set is out.

Showcase cards and the Ultimate Rare

66 of the 180 cards have Showcase versions, which makes Radiance the most Showcase-heavy set so far. On top of that, the new Ultimate Rare is the set's headline chase. Riot has confirmed that it exists but hasn't shown a card yet, so what you pull is still a surprise.

Radiance Showdown Deck: Evelynn vs Seraphine

The Radiance Showdown Deck puts two ready-to-play Riftbound decks in one box, one led by Seraphine and one by Evelynn, both Legends from the set. It is the easiest way to try Radiance without building a deck first, and a good way to start with a friend. Seraphine's deck is led by the Legend card Starry-Eyed Songstress.

Each deck is 56 cards: a Legend, a main deck of 40 cards, 12 runes, and 3 battlefields. The box contains:

  • 2 ready-to-play 56-card decks (Seraphine and Evelynn)
  • 2 Radiance booster packs
  • 2 full-size paper playmats
  • 2 foldable deck boxes
  • A rulebook

Coming in December: Gift of the Rift

To mark Riftbound's first anniversary, the Gift of the Rift Bundle arrives on December 4, 2026. It holds 16 boosters from all five sets (including 4 Radiance), 36 foil runes, an exclusive alt-art Akali promo, 100 matching sleeves, and a storage box for about 2,000 cards. It is a good pick if you missed earlier sets and want a bit of everything.

Gearing up

Once your order arrives, a playmat and a set of sleeves will keep your new cards in good shape from the first game. Standard-size sleeves fit Riftbound cards, just like the rest of your TCG collection.
